City Touch Games Rescheduled due to Brisbane’s recent Flooding Event

Due to the heavy rainfall and the major flooding event all, Premier Touch games for this week (18th-2nd March) have been postponed. This is to allow time for all venues and fields to be assessed and restored to ensure safe play for all Premier Touch participants.

“The safety of our players, officials and our wider Premier Touch community is of the upmost important to us. We hope that this week will allow for flooding damage to be assessed and we can prepare for games to be rescheduled and replayed as soon as it is safe to do so” explained PCT Competition Manager, Peter Shallcross.

“This has been an incredibly challenging week for all of Brisbane, and the struggle continues for many people. This includes but is not limited to our incredible venues, some of which who are yet to start the long clean-up process required for a return to sport” he continued.

In order to ensure a successful return to play, team managers will be emailed updates regarding the start dates as each venue implements their separate restoration processes to ensure safe and suitable venue conditions.

Players are therefore encouraged to rely on their team managers and watch our social media platforms for any updates. Please only contact the office if absolutely necessary.

Wet weather updates as well as field access will also be updated on the Premier Touch website https://premiertouch.com.au/weatherupdate-2/ or call the wet weather line on +61 7210 44019.
